THE SECRET TO SEEING THE LIGHT
If there is a secret to learning to see light, I think this is it:
Find the light first, the location second.
Too often we are distracted by the shiny glittery pull of a location, more than the subtle presence of light. You can have a great photograph taken in a mediocre location with amazing light, but you can not have a great photograph taken in a stunning location with poor light.
It doesn’t work.
From the very beginning I want us each to start looking for the light first. It may surprise you to find out how magical the mundane can become when you’re searching for the light as your #1 requirement.
The images above were all shot while standing in the bathtub next to the window. Great images are possible in any location with light.
