This is perhaps the most valuable part of the course. Learning the strategy of lighting is one thing, but applying it and seeing these skills in action is another.
I always wanted to teach a course on Natural Light that relied heavily on demonstration and not hard to understand lighting diagrams. I remember the first time that I accompanied another Pro photographer on a shoot when I was first learning. I learned more by watching him work for one hour than I had learned in months of reading blog posts online. There is something to be said for the art of observation.
